McGettigan’s is set to kick off the FIFA World Cup in true larger-than-life fashion as South African music sensations Ross Learmonth and Arno Carstens headline an unforgettable opening night celebration at Bla Bla by McGettigan’s on the opening day of the tournament.

Taking over the iconic Tent nightclub, the venue will be transformed into “The Stadium”, a massive immersive fan zone experience designed to bring football fans as close to the atmosphere of a live stadium as possible.

The opening night event will include live performances from Ross and Arno ahead of the World Cup opening game between Mexico and South Africa, alongside full live coverage of the opening ceremony and match, all within the high-energy fan zone atmosphere McGettigan’s has become renowned for. Guests can also expect DJs, dancers, entertainment, and interactive football-themed experiences throughout the evening.

Tickets are priced at AED 160, including one selected drink, access to the live concert, and entry to the opening game screening. Tickets will be available via www.mcgettigans.com/fanzone and Platinumlist.net.

Designed as one of the UAE’s largest World Cup viewing destinations, the McGettigan’s Fan Zone experience at Bla Bla will feature three dedicated viewing environments, each delivering a different atmosphere for fans throughout the tournament.

At the centre is The Stadium, the transformed Tent nightclub and flagship viewing arena for major matches and headline entertainment. Alongside this, The Arena will host up to 600 guests in a vibrant live screening environment, while The Pitch will offer a more intimate fan experience for 300 guests. No matter where fans choose to watch from, McGettigan’s promises a fully immersive football experience from first whistle to final celebrations.

Dennis McGettigan said: “Football has always been a huge part of the McGettigan’s experience, and for the World Cup we wanted to create something that genuinely feels special. Bringing artists like Ross and Arno for opening night immediately sets the tone for what this fan zone is all about, incredible atmosphere, live entertainment, and fans coming together for every moment of the tournament. Whether you’re there for the football, the music, or the overall experience, this is going to be one of the most exciting places in Dubai to watch the World Cup.”

Known as the home of the official England Supporters Club during the tournament, McGettigan’s is expected to draw football fans from across the UAE for what promises to be one of the biggest and most energetic fan zone experiences in the country.

Further entertainment announcements and matchday experiences are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
